Checklist

OpenClaw install readiness

If you can check most of these boxes, you can probably install OpenClaw yourself. If several are unclear, Concierge will save time and prevent brittle setup mistakes.

1. Machine readiness

  • macOS, Linux, or WSL terminal access
  • Node.js, Git, and a package manager installed
  • Ability to run a one-line shell installer
  • Admin password available for local setup prompts

2. Account and key prep

  • AI provider key ready, or budget for a hosted model provider
  • GitHub account if you want repo-backed workflows
  • Vercel and Supabase accounts for Mission Control tiers
  • A safe local place to store secrets; never paste them into public chats

3. OpenClaw first-run validation

  • Install command completes without shell errors
  • OpenClaw responds from the terminal
  • Heartbeat/status automation can run once successfully
  • Agent can read/write a test task inside your workspace

4. Mission Control readiness

  • Vercel project can deploy from your GitHub repo
  • Supabase project has the required database tables and storage bucket
  • Cron/sub-agent tasks are scoped before automation is enabled
  • You have a rollback path before connecting production workflows

Common blockers

When Concierge is worth it

The product is not magic; most failed installs come from environment drift, unclear secrets handling, or enabling automations before the agent has a stable workspace. These are the issues we remove during a guided setup.

  • Install script fails because Node, Git, or shell permissions are missing
  • API keys are scattered across chats, notes, or screenshots
  • Agent starts responding but cannot persist files or tasks
  • Dashboard deploys but has no seeded data, cron plan, or clear operator workflow
  • You want revenue, bounty, content, or ops automations but do not know how to safely scope them
